What's New

You can always look at my blog and tell when life gets a little hectic because posting is really the last thing I'm thinking about. We haven't been in touch with family very much lately so I thought I'd give an update on how things are going.

 We're currently looking for a new 4-door car-I hear two door car convertibles don't work well with car seats ;) we are also looking for a new home to move into before the little babe arrives. Our apartment isn't cutting it anymore unfortunately..

Spencer is super busy with school during the week, and working on weekends. We are waiting to hear sometime this month if he gets an internship we've been hoping for. Keep your fingers crossed.

School is back in full swing for me, tests and all. I only have about 2 months left & I can't wait to remember what it's like to have weeknights & Saturdays at home with Spencer. School has completely consumed my life for the last year, but it's been SO worth it. I've loved every minute. {Other than testing.}

I've felt the crazy need to start nesting and putting together a baby Nursery, but that's all on hold until we know where we will be living. We are hoping to stay close to where we are currently if we can find the right fit.

Needless to say, life is busy.. But it's certainly a good, happy busy.

As of yesterday, I'm 20 weeks pregnant & I'm so sad this pregnancy is half way over- I can't even believe how quickly it's gone by. I'm apparently one of those crazy people who LOVES being pregnant. I've never felt so happy. Although I'm bummed it's going by so quickly, We can't wait to meet baby boy! It's about killing Spencer wondering what he will look like.

I had my 20 week Midwife appointment yesterday with an ultrasound, which are always so fun. Spencer had to work so my seester tagged along and I had fun watching her reactions to the ultrasound

{little foot}

Baby Boy is about 10.08 inches long from crown to heel and weighs about 10.58 ounces according to my pregnancy phone app. Baby boy weighed in yesterday at 12 ounces!
He's about the size of a large mango!

My midwife was sweet & looked over my food charts for the last two weeks and told me I should be getting more calories throughout the day. With the massive amounts I've been eating, I didn't think that was possible, but I guess I'll be eating more donuts here and there. That's totally what she meant, right??

He's kickin around in there like crazy lately, especially right after my meals or when I drink really cold water. He'll kick and move for me, but the minute someone else tries to feel those little kicks he stops. Stubborn boy!! Natalie felt his little kicks last week, but Spencer still hasn't felt anything.

I'm still feeling great, and eating like normal. I'm sleeping like a baby at night, no cravings or food aversions, and I'm assuming at this point I still won't get morning sickness. I'm beyond thankful for feeling this great with our busy schedules and I think Spencer is pretty thankful too :) He hasn't experienced any late night food runs for me.
...yet.

My belly is getting bigger and bigger and I've loved watching it grow! I also love it when people touch my bump. Weird? {as long as it's not coming along with a smarty pants comment} Yesterday I stopped by my Pink Grandma & papa's house to show them ultrasound pictures and seeing my Papa get so excited over my growing belly is so much fun. I think it gives him something to look forward to, even though his health has declined so quickly. I gave him a kiss on his forehead and he patted my belly as I walked away.

Anyways, enough with the updates. If you made it all the way through the end of this post, you deserve a treat!

XOXO
