The Walking Dead Party

As ya'll should know..

Last night was the SEASON 3 PREMIERE of The Walking Dead!

.....such an occasion calls for a party....

 

I volunteered WEEKS ago to cook Sunday dinner for the family- my mom didn't know at the time it would ALSO be a night centered around our show. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to be in charge of Sunday dinners anymore..

I worked all week on planning an interesting menu for Sunday Dinner/Walking Dead Party.

Here are a few pictures of our totally gross Sunday dinner with the fam & a few friends!

 

Of course we had to start with Caution Tape on the door.

And obviously a zombie hand with a rat.

I'll be the first to say how awesome my murder scene towel is..

 

I made this Mummy Head & Nat hung plastic chopped off fingers from fishing line in the entry way. You had to walk under dangling fingers to get into the living room.

.. I'm sorry most of these pictures totally suck. The fingers were definitely hard to capture.

(we strung them up to represent Daryl's Zombie ear necklace.. but we didn't have ears..)

Zombies

 

Last night marks the 8th night in almost two weeks that I've had some seriously crazy zombie dreams.
 

Yeah, I'm totally obsessed with The Walking Dead TV series but I haven't watched it in weeks! Maybe it's just because I'm super excited about Season 3 to start on Sunday? Who knows, but it's starting to creep me out. I wake up in SUCH a daze that I freak out even hearing noises outside thinking there's a zombie rummaging through someones car outside just waiting for a light or a noise to come from my apartment.

 

...REALLY..?
One morning I LITERALLY almost made Spencer wake up to walk me to my car.

These zombie dreams have got to stop.

Although some sick part of me loves it..?

 

The worst dream yet was there was a huge zombie Apocalypse.

Our group got split up and SOMEHOW miraculously managed to find each other in an abandoned house. We were running out of ammo and food, and had to make a run into town with hardly any gas left in the tank.
I was the only person with a gun, and I didn't know how to use it.

You guys, it was awful.

It was supposed to be some awesome zombie-killing gun, but it looked like a little Nerf gun. I couldn't figure it out and the lives of my entire group were in my hands.

I was so excited when I woke up and realized I was just dreaming.

 

Is it sick and wrong that I totally know EXACTLY what I'd do if the zombie Apocalypse ever happened? Call me a nerd OR totally OCD about planning.. But I'll have this shiz all under control. I even know the first two people I'd find to lead our group.

(They've already been informed of this as well..)

 

Sick.

I hope everyone watches the Season Premiere The Walking Dead on Sunday. I was so kind I volunteered to make family dinner that night. We're totally having a Walking Dead party, and no one is going to want to eat the food.

That's a whole separate post though.

 

Have any of you had reoccurring dreams? Good or scary?

And is anyone else on this zombie train or is it just me?
