Busy Busy

August has been such a busy month I feel like I have hardly had time to blog about anything. Over the next week my blog will be flooded with update posts on what's been going on!

TO SUM THINGS UP...

I have stayed SO busy at work. Our previous cashier put her two weeks in, and luckily for me my SISTER got the job! She has been so awesome and everyone LOVES her!

Working with Fatalie has been so fun, and such a blessing for me helping me out at work. We get to be together everyday which I'm super happy about considering she is moving to Hawaii in December!

 

I've been busy with Lash Extensions which is awesome! 

I enjoy doing them and it's decent money on the side.

 

I've also started taking newborn pictures and have absolutely fallen in love with working so closely with babies and their moms. A special thanks to my friends for having beautiful babies that make this job so fun!

Spencer started school this week and his first day seemed to go pretty well.. I'm hoping his English class doesn't get too overwhelming he has a written paper due every Tuesday and Thursday.

As you can see things around here have been busy.

Busy but good.

As I mentioned in a post a few months ago, I got eyelash extensions for the wedding.

They lasted me a good 2 months!
As they've slowly come off or fallen out with my lash cycle, it finally came time for me to take the rest off.  :(

Here is the before and after..

After having these lush lashes for the last few months, when they were all off and I looked in the mirror totally bare-faced with no make up, I felt like a hairless rat.

It has definitely been nice not having to worry about make up in the morning. Not to mention I've been able to sleep in an extra 15-20 minutes.

Maybe I'm just becoming lazy?

I'll just have to suck it up and continue with the usual make up routine. Or maybe just get another set.  Summer, pools, boating, camping.. all of the above and no make up?

Eyelash Extensions

This picture is me hanging out while my hair is in foils. I always love a good weave.
.BUT.

I have discovered a new love..

Eyelash Extensions.

I've always thought they were fun, and I'm also certified to do them.

But I had never had them until recently.

Growing up one of my nicknames was Snuffleupagus or Snuffy- From Sesame Street.

If any of you watched Sesame Street as a kid, you'll know that Snuffy's eyelashes were so long they would hang in his eyes.

...and that is why I got my nickname..

I didn't need eyelash extensions but I thought they would be SUPER convenient for the honeymoon and not having to do my makeup. I was right.

TOTALLY TOTALLY THE BEST INVENTION EVERRR!Whoever thought of this wonderful idea was a genius, and deserves a cupcake.

Waking up, and not having to do my makeup is so convenient.

Not to mention I've been on time for work everyday the last 3 weeks...

My getting ready time was easily sliced in half.

Who knew I could wake up, brush my teeth, throw my hair in to a messy bun and look like I just spent a significant amount of time getting ready for the day??

Eyelash Extensions can be helpful for added lenghth, or just to add thickness to your own lashes.
