Blue Floral

I'm really running out of clothing options quickly.
My maternity pants are so uncomfortable I could scream, so it's very likely I'm in either a skirt or leggings. Preferably leggings since it's really hard for me to shave my legs right now.

BUT. I made an exception this week.
I got this skirt from Agnes & Dora and I love the bright colors!
The band at the top is perfect because it's super wide so I've been able to wear it through this whole pregnancy.. and no, it's not a maternity skirt! I love how long it is & it's extremely comfortable.

 This thing is gettin laaarggeee!

My blue ruched top is from Pea in The Pod, my shoes are Dolce Vita & my cobalt blue handbag is Michael Kors.

38 Weeks.

Today I am 38 weeks pregnant
and it's so hard to believe it's gone by this quickly. I feel like I should have a few more months left, not two weeks.
TWO WEEKS LEFT!

Yesterday morning I woke up with lots of pressure and weird cramping. Baby was moving like crazy and I was terrified I was about to go into labor. I sloooowly got out of bed to get a bottle of water and laid in bed for another hour until it stopped.
No labor, guys.. We're good! Spencer is in North Dakota for work until later this week too.. So I'm keeping my legs fingers crossed that little dude can be patient for a little while longer. He's soo low and I'm feeling quite a bit of pressure today..

I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon & it's been the same stuff over and over lately. "you're doing well" "no protein in your urine" "your belly is measuring right on"
I had my midwife check me at 36 weeks and I was dilated to almost a 2. I'm not going to have her check me again because I don't want to mess with anything, and I'd rather not know if I've dilated any more until Spencer is home. Out of sight out of mind, right?
Well, I guess it would be more like out of mind, out of mind in this case considering I can't see my own cervix. {Fortunately.}

Anyways, I figured I'd do my outfit post for today. I've really been wondering how many more days I'll get to dress this bump. I try not to think about it because I get so bummed out.. I've loved having this bump soo much and I really have enjoyed every second of being pregnant. I still can't quite wrap my head around the fact that In two weeks (or less?) I'll be actually HOLDING the little dude!

One day I'm just Mikell & wife, and then... suddenly I'm mom too.
MOM. MOM. MOM!
I can't comprehend it.

Skirt: Agnes & Dora. I bought it one size up to fit the bump but I ended up not liking how long it was. Not quite maxi skirt and it felt really awkward so.. I just hiked it up over the bump today.

Shirt: Forever 21. It's normally long, but I tied it above the bump today.

Shoes: Dolce Vita. My fav.

Summer Stripes

I love patterns. I love mixing patterns. Polka dots, stripes, floral, you name it.
I found this striped top at Pea in the Pod last week on clearance and loved it! It's super lightweight and perfect for summer. I paired it with my white jeans from Gap & CND white Shellac to complete the look!

p.s. You know you're really pregnant when you don't want to wear normal flats anymore.
These white grandma tennis shoes are the bomb.

A special thanks to Fatalie for putting up with taking my ghetto outfit pictures in the hall at work. I love you, pipsqueak!

Shirt: Pea in the Pod. Not sure how it's maternity- I'm excited to wear it after!
White Jeans: Gap Maternity

Maternity Photos

If you're also my friend on facebook I'm going to apologize now for posting these all over my social media- I'm slightly obsessed and I'm SO HAPPY with them. Suzie Bishop Photography is incredible and I couldn't have picked a better girl to do these for me. She's also doing my birth story and I'm beyond happy about that.

30 Weeks!

I woke up yesterday totally shocked that I'm actually 30 weeks pregnant.
THIRTY WEEKS!
 This pregnancy has gone by so fast I can't believe it.

Maternity Pants: GAP {here, & on sale!}
Shirt: Old Navy Clearance
Shoes: Don't Ask.
Necklace: Old Navy

The thought of me only having 10 weeks left {if that..} brings so many emotions.
I'm so excited, terrified, anxious & happy all in one. Yesterday I was pretty emotional once I got in my car leaving work. I think I was just tired. Nothing a nap didn't fix.

The last few days I've had a pinched nerve in my back {damn you, sciatica}
Spencer has been far beyond a good sport listening to me complain about it, walk like a pregnant whale {just since my back started hurting} and crying about it over and over. My midwife told me to try stretches. Honey I've done them all. So tonight I'm trying a water zumba class. Gag me. But I'm hoping it will help.

Baby Mack-Attack is kicking around like crazy which is a great change from him being a little stinker last week. I don't know what he's doing in there but it must be pretty fun. He's now able to see, and even though it's dark in there his eyes can be wide open scoping out the area. His hair is getting thicker and he's starting to shed the baby hairs present on the skin. My midwife says he's head down- I can feel his little back on my left side, and his kicks are almost always on the right side of my belly. It's fun when I feel a little kick, I'll poke, and he kicks back.

My midwife asked if I've been having any contractions and I literally get them all day long. When she asked how many in an hour she was a little surprised to hear I get 3-4 within an hour. She said if I start getting 5 or more I should call her up. Lovely! Baby's heartbeat was strong and loud, and I can't wait to hear it again in 2 weeks!

Makeshift Dress

I absolutely HATE trying clothes on in the stores. Especially now that I've got a good size pregnant belly on me. Its exhausting and that thing really gets in the way. I bought a skirt last week at H&M that I fell in love with but when I got home I realized I couldn't get it up past my thighs. Awesome. So I went back and exchanged it for the next size up. Got home, tried it on, and it was WAAAY too long but I mean, this skirt has POCKETS! So I hung it up in my closet anyways..

I really wanted to wear it this week so.. I just pulled it up OVER my belly, tied a shirt I can no longer get over my belly, and made my own makeshift dress. Boom.
I may or may not have high-fived myself. Win.

Black, Black & Cobalt Blue

I've always loved pairing black with other colors because something about it screams "classic" I found these track pants on sale at the Nordstrom Rack (SCORE) and paired them with a black top, black flats & Cobalt Blue accessories- a necklace, and my favorite Michael Kors bag.

{Don't worry guys, I didn't count the awesome Unicorn Bandaid on my foot as a Cobalt Blue accessory. Maybe I should though..}

This is the perfect way to be comfortable, but not look like I'm walking around in grungy clothes.

Denim & Grey

This has been one of my favorite {& most comfortable} outfits so far. I'm all about comfy.

 I dressed up this chambray button up top with my 26 week baby bump, a knee-length grey maternity skirt, a jeweled necklace, and snake skin pointy flats! (BTW, Maternity skirts are the best because they typically have the fold-over band that you can wear afterwards just like every other maxi skirt..)

Hint: you may want to check out the maternity skirt section, even if you aren't pregnant!

Shirt: AEO (on Sale!) HERE
Skirt: Old Navy Maternity HERE
Pointy Flats: Old Navy (on Sale!) HERE
