A Bunch of Shenanigans!

Ugh, Monday.
Here we are again.. Time for Sami's Shenanigans!

 



1. Used This cash... &
2. Paid for our Disneyland Vacation. Sister trip in T-30 Days.

3. A trip to MAC

4. And bought this Vampy lipstick for fall. Obsessed.

5. & 6. Spent the afternoon at Temple square with my sis, Fatalie.

 

 

Not Pictured:

-Ate dinner at Johnny Rockets. .......twice. (so good)

-Saw Insidious 2 (so good)

-Got new tires (Hate spending $ on car crap..)

-Cleaned like a crazy woman (so good)

-Shellac'd my nails (so cute)

-Made Caramel Apples (...that deserves it's own blog post)

Weekend Shenanigans

It's been a while since I've done the Weekend Shenanigans with Sami's Shenanigans blog & since this was a big one, I figured I'd do the link up today!



FRIDAY
I went on a field trip with my school to The Young Living Farm in Mona, Utah.
I had never even heard of Mona until this field trip.
The Young Living Farm is a GIANT distillery for essential oils. It was so awesome to see the distillery process and get to test them out, and obviously buy some as well.

(that's lavender ice cream.. SO GOOD!) and obviously a lovely view from Mona!

We also went on a double date night to Cheesecake Factory which is ALWAYS the best choice. I also bought the most glorious foundation I've ever tried at Sephora. That's a whole separate blog post though.

Then I spent the rest of the night making Happy Birthday posters for my seester.


SATURDAY
This happens to be my personal favorite day of the weekend. I didn't have school (praise) and I woke up early to drive to the airport with my mama to pick up my favorite little freckle faced petunia bum. She has been at BYU Hawaii and is coming home for school!

I was SO happy and relieved to see her running down the stairs at the airport.
AND on her BIRTHDAY! My baby sister is 20 years old!
We opened presents, went to breakfast, went to Target & the mall, got giant snow cones, dyed her eyebrows & got them waxed.. she was all sorts of pampered!

We also went to dinner  at Rio Grande for Nat's birthday!

SUNDAY

I started my first week in Primary. I wanted to cry.

We went to mom's for Sunday dinner & made homemade ice cream for Nat's Birthday cake! We watched Insidious (meh..) and stayed up LATE together!

Sunday I celebrated having Winston for 1 year!

My favorite little fuzzy guy in the whole world. So glad he's my fur baby!

MONDAY

We woke up early late and went to breakfast at The Park Cafe across from Liberty Park. SO GOOD! It's tiny in there and it was so loud and packed and served the best food.. I loved it. Jeff wanted to go to Tracy Aviary after so we did which ended up being really cool.

The pink flamingos were sweet & I spent all my quarters on duck food.

We spent the rest of the afternoon running errands and looking around in the Halloween Store! (Can I get a hallelujah for the Halloween Store?!)
We had dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings which is ALWAYS a good idea.

This weekend went by WAAAY too fast. But I have lots to look forward to the next few weekends!

AND I'm clearly really excited to have my sister home!! FOR GOOD this time!

Shenanigans

 

I'm happy to say my first week of school is over! I'm loving it so much though that getting home at 11:00 pm after working a full day AND going to school doesn't seem to faze me as much as I thought it would. I'm soaking up learning & spending time with new friends. I've also learned that not having any school/homework the last 6 years has certainly effected my study habits (or the lack thereof..) Getting into the swing of studying and having homework will be an adjustment!

 

I spent Friday afternoon with my pink gma and papa which is always an interesting time. We ate Frosty's together and Grandpa was really enjoyable, which actually doesn't happen very often. He's even smiling in this picture..??!

Grandma and Fatalie, my sister, write each other once a week. Natalie told my gma that I sent her gma's "dino video" & I got scolded from Gma for that.

Friday night we went to see the movie Oblivion with Jeff.

Not my favorite, but I also have a really hard time sitting still very long. Especially when I'm super tired.. All I could think about is how the stranger next to me was breathing heavily and how I just wanted to be at home. Preferably in sweat pants.

I had school all day Saturday & received my first tip! Woot woot!
After school Spencer and I had date night eating take out food at the park & then shopping for school supplies. Romantic, right? It was good to spend some time with him, I feel like I haven't seen much of him this week.

Yesterday we went to our friend's baby blessing. Babies make me happy & they smell good.
After the blessing we both had so much homework and studying to do we spent all night with our noses in our school books. Had a quick dinner at mom's house & came home to do more homework.

This weekend I felt extra love for the fuzzy animals in my life. Sometimes I think I like them more than most human beings on this earth.

I had a slight obsession with Winston's tiny mouth this weekend. He chews with his mouth open and it's so tiny and pink it's hard to not love it.

When I was at my parent's house I noticed my puppy Jax needed to have his eyes cleaned. I went to get a warm washcloth and came back to find him like this....

Sorry Jax, but I can still see your big ears!

 

The weekend ended on a high note when I got in bed & was still so happy that I looked done up. Every time I get my eyelashes done I wonder how I ever lived without them.

Seriously.

Anniversary Weekend

Time for weekend Shenanigans!

 

I was so bad at taking pictures of us this weekend- Spencer probably loved not having a camera constantly in his face..

Alright here we go..

 1. Played with Winston. Of course. He got to play in the grass at Pink Gma's house!
 

2. Went to City Creek with these lovely ladies for some shopping (splurged on a lipstick at Mac) and we dinner at Red Iguana.  We also ran a few other secret errands & ended up at the WX LAX game to watch Spencer coach. (WX won. YAY!)

 

3 & 4. Celebrated our 1 year anniversary on Saturday! All day we seriously could not believe that it's really been a year. Where does the time go?!

 

5. We went to Starbucks to get our favorite summery drink- We drank these in Puerto Rico like they were goin out of style. It's probably the main contributor to my "after marriage weight gain." whatevs.

 

6. We went to Megan & Aaron's Wedding reception on our anniversary night- the coincidence of this day is insane. I am SO happy for Megan and she will ALWAYS hold a very special place in my heart. I love her dearly and I'm so excited she is happy- she looked Beautiful and her dress was amazing. (Apparently this is my wedding-go-to outfit..?)

 

7. Spencer and I got all dressed up and went to dinner at Trio- but, like I said I was horrible at taking decent pictures this weekend so you don't get a picture of Trio. Trust me, it was delicious.

 

8. I resisted the urge I had all day on our anniversary to wear my new MAC lipstick- Spencer hates it when I wear lipstick so I rocked it at church yesterday instead.

Absolute new favorite color! BAM!

 

 

Annnddd... of course, I topped the weekend off with The Walking Dead.

HELLO?! Only 2 more episodes left of the season?! NOOOOO!!

What in the heck is going to happen with Andrea and the Governor!?

UGH.

1. Like... Of course I loved on Winston the minute I got home from work on Friday..

 

2. Went to Pink Gma & Papa's House for a pizza party! Winston LOVED pink gma! Gma really completed the party with a homemade salad, deviled eggs & rice pudding!

 

3. Pink Gma's House, next to Disneyland, is the happiest place on earth. My favorite is sitting right in front of the fireplace.

 

4. Pizza party with Papa. Don't mind the food on his shirt.. haha

 

5. Saturday afternoon I was required to do absolutely nothing. I cleaned, (love cleaning..) played with Winston, went to Keva Juice & Great Harvest... then laid on the couch.

 

6. Winston helped me clip coupons. And by "clip coupons" I mean shred paper to make a bigger mess for me to clean up.

 

7. We went to the WXHS Baseball Dinner Banquet with Josh & Kiersten to support Jake Brown. (go Jake!)

 

8. At the Banquet we got to listen to the 2001 World Series Champion pitcher for the Dodgers! Pretty cool... (and suuuch a sweet vest he's got on there..)

 

 

We also caught up on The Walking Dead (so intense!)

Had birthday Cake for J's Birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODAY JOSH!)

& Made our own Harlem Shake Videos.

Black Friday

I took a little break from blogging this weekend and it was kind of nice.

We had a happy little Thanksgiving at my house with immediate family- it was weird to not have the entire family over this year.

We all said something we were thankful for & spent some good quality time together

 

7:00 pm rolled around and we hit up Michael's craft store for some serious crafting supplies. (I'll NEVER pass up a trip to the craft store..)

My sister and I had planned to  head to Walmart at 8:00 pm to snatch up the EXCLUSIVE Walking Dead game for my brother. He decided he wanted to come, so it wasn't much of a secret. People are crazy. We couldn't find the game anywhere & workers were totally useless and no help at all. At 7:50 some crazy lady decided she wasn't waiting any longer and started ripping the wrapping off the sealed pallets.

COMPLETE CHAOS.

I witnessed a lady get elbowed in the face over an xbox game, someone threw a cardboard box and gashed another lady in the face, someone threw a large drink on the ground and it spilled EVERYWHERE, another girl was climbing over the toy aisles to get around.

In the middle of the store I'm nearly having a breakdown because I can't find this game.

YOU GUYS it's the ONE THING that I KNEW Jeff would love.

I was about to give up & started walking to the front of the store.

I hear, "MIKEELLLLLLLLL!!!!! YEAAAAAAH!!!"

I turn around to see little Fatalie holding the game high above her head- someone had stashed it in between two boxes and Natalie almost tripped over it.

Black Friday was awesome- got some killer deals with my bro and we literally finished ALL of our Christmas shopping. We are pro status when it comes to shopping.

Even better.. everything is completely wrapped and ready to go.

(With the help of Winston, of course...)

I've been jamming to Christmas music all weekend, hung our stockings and put up my mini nativity scene which is beyond adorable. Baby Jesus is like the size of a pea.

 

Church was good, although I could hardly concentrate on anything because I was so stoked on my pony tail. Not kidding.

I'm so proud of how long its getting!!

 

I clearly wasn't the only one who couldn't concentrate.

-Purchased the headboard I've been DYING to have

-Purchased our first vacuum.

-Purchased a swiffer mopper. I'm so excited about this.. 

-Ate Lorenas with my family

-Watched Conference

-Ate dinner with my family.

This was a beautiful weekend.
